Using convolution reverb, you can apply the characteristics of real-world spaces to any audio material, all without the the cost of travel or having to find a power outlet for your synth inside an ancient stone tower. The crux of convolution reverb is an impulse response, or “IR”. Just like to say have same problem, runnin OS X 10.6.8 and ableton 9.0.4 and still no Convolution Reverb working for me. Spoke to ableton today they are aware of the problem but could not tell me when it will be fixed!!! If theres any work around or fix would love to know.

Today, Ableton has released Live 9, the highly anticipated new version of its popular music creation software. Today also marks the release of Push - Ableton’s first hardware instrument.
As a temp solution when you can't read a specific lossy file such as an mp3, however, doing your own conversions is still a quick solution to that particular problem. Jestermgee wrote:Solutions to try:- Try another MP3 file and see if that works (if it doesn't then there may be issues with importing files or the selection of MP3s).- If not, try a WAV/Aiff file and see if you can drag that (if that has issues, Live may have some security issues on the machine)- Try load the file using the Live browser instead of dragging it in (if that is not how you were doing it before)Other things could be the temp folder location, folder privs etc. On Windows for instance, if the software is not running in Admin mode you can have some issues dragging things in from the browser. All good pertinent info for solving a general problem adding audio to Live, but once you have investigated lossless files work when there was a problem with a specific file, then converting yourself makes sense for solving that problem in order to actually make some music right now.As a side-note I don't really get why you think me saying something you're not saying means in any way, shape or form I'm negating what you're saying. Granted, this cache conversion is often perfectly acceptable as it's certainly not the brightest of ideas to give yourself a lossless audio library that is really based on lossy source audio. Downloading sets into ableton.
