Ableton Better On Mac Or Pc
Back in the days when MAC cpus weren't Intel based the processors used to handle applications like Photoshop much better than their PC counterparts. These days I don't feel it matters much since the hardware is essentially the same on both platforms, and basically comes down to drivers and user experience - and maybe Apple's fancy screens. Any idea on the percentage of Ableton users on PC vs Mac? I did my sums and research and many creative were saying the DELL PRECISION 5520 was a better machine than the Mac when I bought it, and had double the everything (32GBRAM, Xeon, 1TB SSD, touch screen, infinity edge etc. For same price as Mac Pro.

Hi.I have ALWAYS loved macs, but really need to get a new one cos the one I've got is 2GB RAM, but I need 4GB RAM and 2.4GHz to enable me to use The Bridge. Also, my current MAC is SLOW and latency is a massive problem when using Ableton.
I looked at the MACs on the Ozzie website and it seems that a laptop suitable would be over AUD$2000.
I then started thinking about PCs.
What do people reckon - Is Ableton just as good on the PC as it is on the Mac.
I can use my old Mac for other stuff like iMovie etc.
I could just use a new PC solely for Ableton and music stuff. What do people reckon? Mac or PC for Ableton and The Bridge.
Please explain your reasoning when you shout out MAC or PC.
